This quick and flavorful sauce will be your go to recipe for pizza night! Pantry staples combine with our tomato sauce and tomato paste for a zesty pizza base!
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 (15 ounce) can Tuttorosso® Tomato Sauce or 2 (8 ounce) cans Tuttorosso® Tomato Sauce
- 1 (6 ounce) can Tuttorosso® Tomato Paste
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
Instructions
Step one
Combine all ingredients in medium bowl with small wire whip. Mix well to ensure sauce is smooth and tomato paste is fully mixed in.
Step two
Cover and refrigerate for about 1 hr to allow flavors to fully develop.
Step three
Use immediately or keep covered in refrigerator for up to 1 week. Sauce can also be frozen for up to 6 months.
