Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb hot sausage
- 3 onions, diced
- 1 head of garlic, minced
- 1 can chipotles in adobo
- 1 can beef broth
- 3 tbsp chili powder
- 1tbsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
2 cans Tuttorosso Crushed Tomatoes with basil 28 oz
1 can Tuttorosso Diced Tomatoes 28 oz
- 2 cans of beans (your choice)
- 1 large bag frozen french fries
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- OPTIONAL TOPPINGS
- jalapenos
- green onions
Instructions
Step one
In a large Dutch oven brown ground beef and hot sausage. Remove the meat from the pan and set aside.
Step two
Saute Ontions, garlic, and chipotles in adobo in the Dutch oven.
Step three
Add beef broth to deglaze the pan, and then add the meat back into the Dutch oven. Add in all spices, as well as 2 cans Tuttorosso crushed tomatoes with basil and 1 can Tuttorosso diced tomatoes.
Step four
Place the dutch oven on the smoker and cook at 200 degrees for 8 hours untill it thickens. Add the beans about 1/2 way through cooking.
Step five
Serve over fries, with cheese, jalapenos and green onions.
