A one-dish meal that everyone will enjoy, this casserole is both flavorful and filling. Lean ground beef, fresh parsley, cheddar cheese and egg noodles contribute to this hearty dish, that’s easy to reheat on the off-chance there are leftovers.
Ingredients
- 3/4 pound lean ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
1 (28 ounce) can Tuttorosso® Peeled Plum Tomatoes 28 oz
1 (6 ounce) can Tuttorosso® Tomato Paste 6 oz
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 8 ounces wide egg noodles, cooked and drained
- 1 (12 ounce) package cheddar cheese singles
Instructions
Step one
Preheat oven to 350o F. In a large skillet, brown ground beef and onion. Stir in peeled plum tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, black pepper, parsley and garlic salt; simmer on low heat for 20 minutes.
Step two
In a 2 quart casserole dish, combine noodles and tomato mixture. Top with cheese slices and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese is melted.
