

Bump your baked bean recipe up a notch with Red Gold Cocktail Sauce! It will soon become your favorite.
Ingredients
- 3 slices bacon uncooked, small dice*
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 4 scallions, sliced, green & white parts
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 cup red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup yellow bell pepper, chopped
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons course grain mustard
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
1 cup Red Gold® Cocktail Sauce Made with Real Sugar 12 oz
- 2 cans pinto beans, 14.5 oz, 1 can drained, 1 can not drained
Instructions
Step one
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Step two
In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, cook bacon pieces for 3-4 minutes until bacon begins to crisp and the fat is rendering.
Step three
Add onions, scallions (white and green parts), garlic, red and yellow peppers to bacon and cook for 4 minutes until onions just start to turn brown. Add smoked paprika and season with salt and pepper.
Step four
Add the course mustard, brown sugar and Red Gold Cocktail Sauce, mix to dissolve the sugar.
Step five
In a 2-quart oven safe casserole dish, add the beans, the bacon/vegetable/sauce mixture and mix well. Bake for 30-45 minutes until hot and bubbly.
Step six
Remove from oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
