This is coleslaw with a big attitude! A great change of pace from the traditional mayonnaise based style.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1 cup Red Gold® Cocktail Sauce Made with Real Sugar 12 oz
- 1/4 cup granulated white sugar
- 1 teaspoon table salt
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 package shredded coleslaw mix, 14 oz
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 2 tablespoons chopped chives
Instructions
Step one
Combine apple cider vinegar, cocktail sauce, granulated sugar and salt in a large bowl, whisk until sugar dissolves. Gradually whisk in the vegetable oil until thoroughly combined.
Step two
Add the coleslaw blend, shredded carrots and chopped chives. Toss well until vegetables are completely coated. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary.
Step three
Refrigerate for one hour before serving to allow flavors to blend.
