

So much zesty flavor in this easy cheese dip thanks to Red Gold Cocktail Sauce!
Ingredients
- 3 slices of bacon, cooked & crumbled, drippings reserved
- 1/2 cup shallots, finely chopped
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup Red Gold® Cocktail Sauce Made with Real Sugar 12 oz
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup green onions, sliced, green & white parts
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
Step one
Preheat over to 425°F.
Step two
In a small skillet cook bacon until fat has rendered and bacon is crispy. Remove bacon from pan and serve.
Step three
In the same skillet as the bacon was cooked, add the finely chopped shallots and cook for 3-5 minutes until shallots are translucent and tender. Remove from heat.
Step four
In a mixing bowl combine softened cream cheese, Red Gold Cocktail Sauce, shredded cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, sliced scallions, crumbed bacon and cooked shallots.
Step five
Season with salt and black pepper. Mix well using a large spoon or a rubber spatula to combine. Transfer to an ovenproof baking dish and bake for 10-15 minutes until hot and bubbly. Remove from oven and allow to cook a few minutes before eating. Serve with baked pita chips.
