Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1 cup green pepper, chopped
- 2 cans Bush’s Chili Beans in Mild Chili Sauce 16oz
1 Red Gold Canned Diced Tomatoes 14.5 oz
1 Red Gold Canned Tomato Paste 6 oz
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons oregano
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- shredded cheddar cheese
- Optional Toppings: diced jalapenos, red onion
- Mission Tortilla Strips for serving
Instructions
Step one
In large pan, cook beef, onion and green pepper until meat is browned, drain excess grease.
Step two
Stir in remaining ingredients, except cheese. Bring to a boil.
Step three
Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
Step four
Garnish with cheddar cheese, optional toppings, and serve with tortilla strips.
