Tuna Casserole

This comforting and reliable classic features tuna, egg noodles, cream of mushroom soup and peas, topped with a crunchy fried onion topping – it’s just delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup light mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 1/2 cups egg noodles, cooked and drained
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 1 can Red Gold Canned Petite Diced Tomatoes 14.5 oz, drained

  • 2 (5 ounce) cans chunk light tuna in water, drained
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup French fried onions

Instructions

Step one

Preheat oven to 350o F. In a large bowl combine soup, milk, mayonnaise and garlic powder. Stir in noodles, peas, petite diced tomatoes, tuna, salt and black pepper.

Step two

Transfer to a 1½ quart casserole dish, salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with cheese.

Step three

Bake for 20 minutes or until bubbly; top with French onions and bake for another 5 minutes.
