A simple chili recipe with three types of beans, turkey, diced tomatoes, spices and a touch of sweetness.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 (46 ounce) can Red Gold® Fresh Squeezed Tomato Juice 46 oz
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can Red Gold® Diced Tomatoes 14.5 oz
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dill weed
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 (15 ounce) can chili hot beans
- 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (15 ounce) can red beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (1.25 ounce) package chili seasoning packet
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/2 tablespoon sugar
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Step one
Brown turkey in large soup kettle, break into crumbles. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 1 hour. Add water if desired for a thinner chili or add more tomato juice for a thicker consistency.
Step two
Option: Top with shredded cheese.
