- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 8 street-size flour tortillas
- Shredded cheddar cheese or sliced burger cheese
- Shredded lettuce (optional)
- Diced onion (optional)
- Pickles (optional)
- TOMATO-CHILI GAME DAY SAUCE
1 can Red Gold Original Diced Tomatoes + Green Chilies 10 oz, drained
1 can Red Gold Mild Diced Tomatoes + Green Chilies 10 oz, drained
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Instructions
Step one
In a bowl, mix the ground beef with steak seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder until evenly combined.
Step two
Press a thin, even layer of seasoned beef onto one side of each tortilla. Sprinkle lightly with additional steak seasoning if desired.
Step three
Add all Tomato-Chile Game Day Sauce ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Step four
Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Place tortillas beef-side down in the skillet and cook for about 3 minutes, until the beef is browned and crispy.
Step five
Flip the tortillas, add cheese to the beef, and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes, until melted and the tortillas are warmed through.
Step six
Top with shredded lettuce, diced onion, pickles, and generous spoonfuls of Tomato-Chile Game Day Sauce on both the bottom and top. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
