Try this hearty vegetarian chili using Impossible “Ground Beef” plant-based meat. Full of spices, tomatoes, beans – the perfect cozy comfort food.
Ingredients
- 2 12oz packages Impossible “Ground Beef” plant-based meat
- 1 large onion, chopped
1 can Red Gold® Fresh Squeezed Canned Tomato Juice 46 oz
1 can Red Gold® Canned Tomato Sauce 15 oz
1 can Red Gold® Chili Ready Canned Diced Tomatoes 14.5oz
- 2 cans chili hot beans 15 oz
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
Step one
In a large soup kettle, brown ground beef and onion; drain well.
Step two
Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
Step three
Simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Serve with cheese and crackers.
Step four
Option: Add 1 cup cooked macaroni when chili is ready to serve.
