Green Beans and Tomatoes

A tasty way to get your family to eat their vegetables! We took a basic vegetable and added savory flavors by adding our Petite Diced Tomatoes with Garlic & Olive Oil. A delicious side dish to complete any meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, chopped
  • 1 can Red Gold Petite Diced Tomatoes with Garlic & Olive Oil 14.5 oz

  • 1 bag frozen green beans 16 oz
  • 2-3 fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

Step one

In a medium sauté pan or skillet, add olive oil and butter over medium high heat. Add garlic and sauté until translucent and fragrant; about 2 to 3 minutes.

Step two

Add the petite diced tomatoes and green beans and stir to combine. Cover and cook for 10 to 15 minutes (or to your desired crispness of the beans).

Step three

Season with salt and pepper. Top with the thinly sliced basil and stir into beans just before serving.
