Ingredients
- 1 pound thick cut bacon
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 slices cheddar cheese, for topping
- 4 tablespoons butter, for toasting the buns
- 4 brioche burger buns
Red Gold® Ketchup Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce 20oz, for serving
- onions, thinly sliced for topping
- tomatoes, sliced for topping
- 2 pounds russet potatoes, wash well, rinse and dry
- vegetable oil, for frying
- kosher salt to taste
Red Gold® 32 oz Ketchup Folds of Honor, for serving
- 1 pack of your favorite Brats
- Brioche hot dog buns
- Red Gold® Folds of Honor Ketchup 32 oz, for serving
Instructions
Step one
Preheat the oven to 425°F.
Step two
Lay the bacon slices on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until crispy. Remove and set aside.
Step three
Preheat a grill to 425°F.
Step four
Divide the ground beef into 4 portions and shape into 1/4 pound (4 ounce) patties. Season the patties with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Step five
Grill the patties to your desired level of doneness, adding a slice of cheddar cheese on top during the last minute of cooking.
Step six
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter.
Step seven
Place the burger buns in the skillet and toast them until golden brown, set aside.
Step eight
Spread Huy Fong Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce Ketchup on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
Step nine
Place a cheese-topped patty on top of the ketchup. Add crispy bacon slices, sliced onions, and tomatoes. Top with the other half of the toasted bun.
Step ten
Cut the potatoes into thin strips to make fries. Rinse the cut potatoes in a bowl of water to remove excess starch.
Step eleven
Heat vegetable oil in a large Dutch oven or pot to 350°F.
Step twelve
Pat the potatoes dry with a towel and carefully fry them in batches until tender.
Step thirteen
Remove from the oil and increase the oil temperature to 400°F.
Step fourteen
Fry the par-cooked fries again until golden brown and crispy.
Step fifteen
Remove the fries from the oil, drain excess oil, and immediately season with salt and serve with Red Gold Folds of Honor Ketchup.
Step sixteen
Place bratwursts on a grill and cook until brats reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
Step seventeen
Place finished brats in your warmed brioche buns and top with Red Gold Folds of Honor Ketchup.
