Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 medium onion, diced
  • 1 packet low sodium taco seasoning
  • 1 can Bush’s Grillin’ Beans Hot Honey 21.5 oz
  • 1 can Red Gold Canned Petite Diced Tomatoes 14.5 oz

  • 10 Mission Flour Tortillas, Soft Taco
  • 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3-4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Red Gold Salsa
  • sour cream
  • guacamole
  • diced jalapenos
  • chopped green onions
  • lime wedges

Instructions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 250°F.

Step 2

Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and onion and cook until the beef is cooked through and no longer pink. Drain off the grease and return the beef to the skillet.

Step 3

Add the taco seasoning to the skillet and sauté for a couple of minutes until the seasoning is fragrant. Stir in the Bush’s Hot Honey Grillin’ Beans and the Red Gold Petite Diced Tomatoes with juices, mix well. Lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

Step 4

Place two Mission Soft Taco Flour Tortillas on a flat surface. Sprinkle cheese on half of each tortilla. Add a heaping ½ cup of the beef mixture over the cheese and spread out to the edge of the tortilla, top with additional cheese. Fold the tortillas in half.

Step 5

Using the large non-stick skillet, place over medium low heat on stovetop. Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Place the 2 folded tortillas in the pan and fry for a couple of minutes on each side until brown and crispy. Transfer the tacos to a cookie sheet lined with paper towel, place in warm oven. Repeat with remaining tortillas, 2 at a time, until all tacos are cooked.

Step 6

Serve the tacos warm and top with Red Gold salsa, sour cream or avocado. Other optional garnishes include diced jalapenos, chopped green onions, and lime wedges.
