Ingredients

1 pound ground short rib meat, or ground beefKosher salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste4 slices American cheese, or cheese of choice4 toasted brioche hamburger buns, or bun of choice Red Gold® Folds of Honor Ketchup 32 oz, for servinglettuce of choice, for serving1 red onion, sliced for serving1 tomato, sliced for serving

Instructions

  • Loosely form the ground beef into 4 equal sized patties, generously season both sides of the patties with salt and pepper.
  • Place the patties directly on the grill grates preheated to medium-high heat, around 400°F.
  • Let the burgers cook for 6 minutes and then flip and cook for another 6 minutes.  If you like your burgers with more pink in the middle, cook them for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  • When there is 2 minutes left, add a slice of American cheese on top of each patty.
  • While the burgers are finishing up, start stacking the additional ingredients. Start with the bottom bun, followed by Red Gold Ketchup, lettuce, red onion, and tomato.  Add the hot burger and then the top half of the bun.
