Ingredients

1/2 cup Red Gold® Folds of Honor Ketchup 32 oz1/2 cup Red Gold® Mama Selita's Jalapeno Ketchup 20 oz1/4 cup Red Gold® Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce Ketchup 20oz1/4 cup dark brown sugar1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce2 garlic cloves, minced, divided1 shallot, finely chopped1 tablespoon dry mustard2 teaspoon kosher salt, divided1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, divided2 pounds ground beeffresh parsley, chopped5 hot dogs5 hot dog buns, halved1 red onion, cut into 1-inch thick wedges1 cup break and butter pickle chips1 yellow bell pepper, cut into 2-inch pieces1 orange bell pepper, cut into 2-inch pieces5 slider buns2 cups baby heirloom tomatoes1/2 head iceberg lettuce, optional, for serving platter

Instructions

BBQ SAUCE

  • Add Red Gold Folds of Honor Ketchup, Red Gold Mama Selita's Jalapeno Ketchup, and Red Gold Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce Ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, half of garlic, shallot, dry mustard, 1/2 of salt and pepper to a bowl.  Whisk to combine, set aside.

SKEWERS

  • Preheat oven to 325°F.  Add ground beef, other half of garlic, other half of salt and pepper, and parsley to a bowl and combine.  Form miniature meatballs, about 2 inches in diameter.  Place on a parchment lined sheet pan, bake 15 minutes, flipping half way through.
  • Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat.  Grill hot dogs until all sides have char lines, 6-8 minutes.  Once cooled, cut into thirds. 
  • Build 5 hot dog skewers, with half a hot dog bun on the top and bottom of each. Alternate between hot dogs, onion, pickle, yellow and orange bell peppers.  Build hamburger skewers, with the slider bun halves on the top and bottom of each.  Alternate between meatballs, tomato, lettuce, onion, pickle and cheese.
  • Brush skewers generously with barbecue sauce mixture. Carefully place on hot grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.  Cook about 4 minutes, flipping halfway through, until buns are toasted, vegetables are slightly charred, and cheese is warm and melty.  Transfer to a platter lined with large iceberg leaves.  Brush with remaining sauce, serve warm.
