This cozy pizza soup brings all your favorite slice-night flavors to a spoon. Made with Red Gold Diced Tomatoes and Red Gold Roasted Garlic Tomato Paste, it’s loaded with sausage, pepperoni, and herbs for a hearty, family-friendly meal that’s perfect for crisp fall days. Ingredients

  • 1 pound sausage
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pepperoni
  • 1 can Red Gold Roasted Garlic Tomato Paste 6 oz

  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 cans Red Gold Diced Tomatoes 14.5 oz
  • 4 cups chicken stock
  • Shredded mozzarella, for topping

Instructions

Step one

In a large pot over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.

Step two

Add the onion, green pepper, and garlic; sauté 3–4 minutes until softened.

Step three

Stir in chopped pepperoni; cook 2 minutes.

Step four

Mix in Red Gold Roasted Garlic Tomato Paste, pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, basil, and oregano. Stir to coat.

Step five

Add the Red Gold Diced Tomatoes (with juices) and chicken broth; stir well.

Step six

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 20–25 minutes.

Step seven

Taste and adjust seasonings

Ladle into bowls and top with shredded mozzarella. Serve with crusty bread for dipping.
